After calling out WWE’s Roman Reigns following Freedom 250, UFC legend Conor McGregor doubled down when asked about his future in the professional wrestling industry.
While in New York City, McGregor talked about Reigns and whether a confrontation with him in WWE is in his future. He didn’t appear happy that UFC showcased rather than WWE talent.

“I don’t know. They [UFC] should’ve platformed our own combatants,” he claimed. “Put them next to these guys. Put our guys next to these guys, what, so who the f**k are you? What’s up? Let it be seen by the public, and then we’d have something to look forward to on our side. Bouts to look forward to, guys to look forward to. Remember, these guys crashed here and there. It builds the story.”
Will Conor McGregor and Roman Reigns face in WWE?
It’s unknown if the vocal barbs will result in a WWE confrontation between the two. They previously exchanged words on social media when McGregor claimed that he could “slap the head off your entire roster. And twice on Sundays,” talking about WWE. However, the “Tribal Chief” clapped back, saying, “[You’re] the size of my leg. Shut up.”
Then, after a picture was posted of Reigns at the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House, McGregor responded by asking, “Who?”
If there’s one thing that WWE has taught fans, it’s to never say never. As McGregor’s MMA career winds down, there is always a chance he tries his hand at professional wrestling after he retires.
McGregor vs. Reigns would be a marquee feud. Reigns has previously put on a great match with a celebrity wrestler, Logan Paul. He is also the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, defeating former UFC star CM Punk at WrestleMania 42 to win it. He has defended it twice against Jacob Fatu since his reign began.
