Knicks’ Deuce McBride makes bold autograph promise for parade

If you’re a big fan of New York Knicks guard Miles “Deuce” McBride and are attending the team’s championship parade on Thursday, June 18, 2026, you might be in luck if you’re hoping to get an autograph.

In the early minutes of June 18, McBride took to X, formerly Twitter, to share that he will be “signing every Deuce jersey I see.” That is a bold promise, as there may be millions at the Knicks’ parade.

It will take a lot to fulfill that promise, but expect to see the guard try to make it happen. He is coming off his best statistical season in the NBA, averaging 12 points per game in 41 regular season games. He also played a career-high 26.3 minutes per game.

After having a significant role in the Eastern Conference Semifinals against the Philadelphia 76ers, averaging 10 points per game that series, McBride took a backseat in the NBA Finals. He averaged 2.2 points per game in just 13.2 minutes per game. He only made three of his 17 three-pointers.

The Knicks’ championship parade will begin at 10 am EST on Thursday, June 18. It will conclude at City Hall, where a ceremony is scheduled for 12 pm.

NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani will present each of the Knicks players with a key to the city, and Alicia Keys will perform at the ceremony.

The Knicks won the franchise’s first championship since 1973 against the San Antonio Spurs. Fittingly, the team’s last appearance in the NBA Finals was against the Spurs in 1999. However, they lost that series in five games.

In 2026, the Knicks beat the Spurs in five games to win the championship. They beat the Spurs in the first two games, which were played in San Antonio, before the series came to New York. While they lost Game 3, they came back from a 29-point deficit in Game 4. Then, they beat San Antonio in Game 5 to close out the series.
