Of course Ben Stiller is filming for documentary at Knicks’ championship parade

To the surprise of no one, Ben Stiller is filming for his documentary while on a float during the New York Knicks’ championship parade.

He has been spotted on one of the floats in the parade. Stiller, while hyping up the crowd, has his phone up and is filming from his perspective. More than likely, some of that footage will make it into his upcoming HBO and A24 documentary.

Of course, Stiller looked so happy to be at the parade. He has waited a long time for the Knicks to have one. He was only seven years old when the team last won a title.

If you’ve been wondering why Stiller has been at almost all of the Knicks’ playoff games with his phone, he is filming footage for an upcoming documentary.

He officially announced the project while appearing on Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart’s Roommates Show. While he has been shooting a lot of footage during this postseason run, the documentary will encompass “all eras” of the team.

It also might be a little while before fans see it. Stiller noted that they are going to be working on it over the “next year,” so it will be a bit before it graces screens.

Still, it’s an exciting time for Knicks fans. They held their championship parade on June 18, just days after they won the franchise’s first championship since 1973.

The Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs in five games to win the NBA Finals. They won the first two games on the road before dropping one (in Game 3) at home. New York then came back from being down by as many as 29 points in Game 4 before closing out the series in Game 5 in San Antonio.
